Anderson hardwood flooring

Anderson, as a hardwood flooring company, have been around for a whopping 65 years. Anderson has a specific trademarked flooring style called 'Cross-Locked Engineered' floors.' These floor constructions are comprised of wood gathered from five different piles. bonded by cohesive glue resistant to water. This idea was derived from ships built by the U.S Navy during World War Two, which used the same idea to build fast attack boats which withstood the ocean's salt water.

In the beginning, parquet blocks were made for use in houses to go overtop of concrete flooring. This was the ideal way to test the design as it made sense if the wood could withstand the ocean's saltwater, it could withstand moisture underneath the flooring. The design was built upon which led to planks of longer lengths. These had increased durability over the old block floor design.
Anderson has done well over the last decade or so because of the overall consistency of their production process. No Anderson hardwood floor has any defects - every single one is simple perfection, as per Anderson's hardwood standards. Competitors have come and gone, as their website says, but Anderson stays true. Lately, a competitor that Anderson is concerned about has emerged - Plastic Laminate flooring. This type of flooring is comprised of a paper style design which looks like real wood. Anderson, however, prefers to stick to real wood floors - they don't believe in manufacturing 'fake' products.
